Mohammad Reza Rahimi (محمدرضا رحيمی in Persian) is the Iranian Vice President.

He was made Vice President on September 13, 2009 in a declaration by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Rahimi is the 5th Vice President of Iran. He was Vice President for Legal and Parliamentary Affairs from 2005 to 2009.

He is the head of school of law at Tehran Azad University. He was also governor of Kurdistan province in Iran. He was Member of Parliament from Kurdistan from 1980 to 1992.

Document forgery and claims of having a PhD

Rahimi claims that to hold a Ph.D. from Oxford University. This claim has been vastly disputed by many Iranian sources. [1] He has also claimed to have a Ph.D. from Belford University. Alef, an Iranian site that belongs to Ahmad Tavakkoli, has published documents purporting to show fraudulent documents created by Rahimi. [2]
